Our Location

We are  ideally based for touring Hobart and the southern regions of Tasmania.

We are situated in the town of New Norfolk (settled 1807)  in southern Tasmania close to Hobart and on the Rivers Run Tourist route.
The Lodge stands on the opposite side of the DerwentRiver from the town centre.

Distances:

30 minutes to Hobart’s waterfront, and the famous Salamanca market.  5 mins drive to pubs, restaurants, antique shops and all town facilities, and the historical building of Willow Court which predates Port Arthur.  40 minutes to historical Richmond Village.  30 minutes to Russell Falls and the lovely, invigorating hikes of Mt Field National Park.  1 hour 30 minutes to Huon. 15 minutes to Two Metre Tall boutigue Brewery  20 minutes to challenging trout streams and rivers.  10 minutes to the Golf course.  10 minutes to wineries.  30 minutes to Bonorong  Wildlife  Park.  10 minutes to The Salmon Ponds.  10 minutes to the famous Agrarian gourmet Kitchen at Lachlan.  20 minutes to Moorilla Estate vineyard and MONA  Art Gallery.  20 minutes to Cadbury Factory.  1 hour 45 minutes to Lake Peddar and Strathgordon lake  En route to Strahan and the famous Gordon River boat trips.
